Rome day 2

Had such a fabulous day today I can't imagine it getting much better but it will, I know it. Woke up early, had coffee and crossaints and then toured ancient Rome. Saw the Colleseum and the Forum and Palentino Hill. Then spent some time at lunch relaxing and enjoying the scenary. Ancient Rome was beautiful!!! It's amazing to me that these structures were built so long ago but yet much of them are still here.

The highlight of the trip and what I have truly been waiting for is hanging out with my friend Gabriela, her husband Chris and 16 month old Deccan. I will cherish every moment we had with them!! Deccan is a sweetie and smiles and bats his eyes whenever a camera is pointed at him. He is definitely a gift from God for Gavy and Chris. I spent a little time with him in this ristoranti enjoying the food. This kid knows pasta!!! I'm so grateful that Gavy and Chris decided to bring a child into the world because the world will never be the same.

Tomorrow we go to the Vatican and the Pantheon and we conclude our Rome visit.... and then off to the Tuscan wine country!
